My research focuses on studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the pathology of age-related lung diseases. Currently, my research uses a translational approach using human precision-cut lung slices to model chronic lung diseases, such as Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, to identify novel biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and treatments.
