The major areas of my research involve: (1) The discovery of  novel approaches to control viral immunity, in particular against Epstein Barr virus, in solid organ transplant recipients and its relation with the development of Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disease (PTLD); (2) To study the innate immunity and  cross-reactivity to allo-immunity; and (3) to determine the phenotype and function of dendritic cells (DC) following mTOR inhibition, a potential approach to generate tolerogenic DC to minimize the use of immunosuppression.
