Christina Patterson, MD

Christina Patterson, MD, is a board-certified pediatric neurologist who serves as director of Epilepsy Services and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and medical director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Program at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is also an associateprofessor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Dr. Patterson received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. She completed residencies at NEOUCOM and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She also completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her primary research interests include collaborative work with University of Pittsburgh neuroscientists in brain plasticity following epilepsy surgery and with Carnegie Mellon University engineers in the development and study of new EEG electrode technologies.
