Join the Survivor Support Network

Pitt’s Survivor Support Network was developed to provide faculty, staff and graduate students with the knowledge and tools needed to support survivors of sexual misconduct on Pitt’s campus. This network is a community of trained and caring leaders who are knowledgeable about campus and community resources and are committed to supporting survivors.

Becoming a member requires participation in two workshops that will provide basic information about the effects of trauma, how to respectfully respond to disclosures and how to provide referrals to support resources. Each member will take the core workshop, Supporting Survivors of Sexual Misconduct, facilitated by Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR) and will enroll in one elective workshop.

Once these workshops have been completed, participants will receive a certificate that can be displayed in their office. Members can also decide if they would like to have their name and contact information listed on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion webpage.
