William M. Carter Jr. is a Professor of Law at Pitt Law and led the school as dean for six years. Prior to joining Pitt Law, Carter was Professor of Law at the Temple University Beasley School of Law and Case Western Reserve Law School. He is a leading scholar of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution.

Join Pitt Law for a discussion of Professor Carter’s 13th Amendment scholarship, with commentary and reflections by Professor David Harris and visiting Professor Jalila Jefferson-Bullock. Dean Amy J. Wildermuth will present welcoming remarks and Professor Deborah Brake will moderate.
